About Cabrillo School

Cabrillo School is a vibrant TK–8 learning community of just under 600 students located only a quarter mile from beautiful Linda Mar Beach. We believe that an education enriched with the arts enables all students to achieve high academic standards while fostering creativity and self-expression. Our caring environment emphasizes responsibility, citizenship, and self-esteem, and reflects a strong partnership among teachers, parents, and the community—all dedicated to supporting the success of every student.  We actively encourage parent and community involvement to create smaller learning groups and personalized support. Every day, our amazing volunteers help make our school a stronger, more inspiring place where children thrive. 
Guided by our mission, Cabrillo provides a standards-aligned curriculum that promotes active learning, independent thinking, and problem-solving both inside and outside the classroom. Students’ education is further enriched through meaningful experiences in music, art, and drama, while youth development is strengthened through cooperation, conflict resolution, and service. Lastly, Cabrillo is committed to high-quality professional development for staff and continuing education for parents, ensuring that we grow together as a community dedicated to lifelong learning and excellence.
